Has anyone removed the venturi on this cai for the gt mustang . I Know it can be removed on the 11-14 models. I am bringin my car to get dynoed and tuned next Monday. Going to see the difference between bama and a custom tune. I will keep you posted with the results

just an update i took off the air tube and removed the Venturi tube or restrictor tube (what ever people want to call it) with a dremel. Then used a some sand paper and smoothed the opening deffinatly open it up. first pic is removed and the second is what came out. Going to dyno it monday ill post results

I did this with my track day airaid and fired it up after reinstalling it without a tune it ran rough to say the least and rpms would climb up at a stop, even with a tune I don't think it would run right without the air flowing somewhat even past the MAF sensor. Perhaps a 4" pvc abs pipe section could be cut then placed inside to even the flow a bit. Never tried to continue since I don't plan on getting a tuner until I get more parts like a new intake manifold or cat deletes, so I ended up getting another airaid intake and have one like the one the op has sitting in a box for another day.

Hope it goes good for you. Maybe it was due to my other mods, my car didn't seem to like it.

I know it's a bad idea ro run it without a tune I do have a bama tune with the cai before the removal of the restriction tube and I am not driving it again until the custom tune on Monday
