Before I begin, let me say that I've never considered bagging a car... I would never want to compromise a car's handling characteristics for the sake of stance, no matter how cool (to me) it looks. I realize it isn't for everyone, but I love the look of slammed cars.

...but now I've been reading up about this company called Air Ride Performance. Apparently these kits are track tested and are made to be driven on, first and foremost. If those claims really do pan out, I might invest in a setup for my (future) S550. The kit has already premiered on the MRT TKO Mustang and it looks sweet. What do you guys think? Any opinions?

Love the Vossen theme going on here! :p lol but Airlift has tested coils vs. air suspension and their numbers show that their air suspension is "better" for track purposes. I'm right there with you about the look of slammed cars and I have plans of bagging my S550. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the MRT Mustang on Airlift Suspension??

Yep! I posted a link to the video in the first post.

If you'll notice, all of the cars above are on CV3s (which I'm pretty much set on... :D)

My take on the whole stance/slammed thing:

I think it should be left to the VIP scene. On a muscle car/sports car, it looks awkward. I think these cars should be lowered via lowering springs and leave it at that. Air bags just look too....awkward.

Then again, its not my money, not my car, so do as you please. Thats just my opinion.

I have a buddy on a bagged Saleen and he loves it. He goes to the track and has a blast, it's definitely not for competition but you can still have a good time on bags.

I still see it more as a "stance" thing than anything else. Purely just for show. Ive also heard that those systems are more trouble than its worth.

Is it really that bad to have some show with your go?

Only my personal opinion. If it doesn't add some sort of performance benefit, then it doesn't go on the car.

With that being said, Vossen wheels are very nice, but not for me. Its more for the VIP/Stance crowd than anything else. All VIP/Stance cars I've seen all have Vossen wheels and are bagged.
