After Market Rims

I'm curious as to why aftermarket manufactures do not make RIM's to replace the stock 18x8's. I mostly see RIM's for the 20" and some for the 19", but it's very, very rare to see any for the 18's. I have been looking for Torque Thust II style RIM's, but American Racing doesn't make them for the 2015's. Has anyone found a quality manufacture for the 18x8? Ford quoted me $800+ PER RIM for the RIM's from a 2016/2017.

There are plenty of 18" wheels out there that will work just fine. It only starts to get tricky when you are looking for 18" wheels that will clear the brakes on a PP.

Because big rims are what's popular these days. Manufacturers assume that smaller rims won't sell well enough to make them worth the trouble, which may be true. I couldn't find any 18's I liked for under like $1500 a piece. I liked the stockers but wanted wider so I gave up and went to 19's.

That's what I ran into with American Racing Torque Thrust rims. They made the 18", but they did not clear the wider calipers on my GT. BTW.. 2015 saw ford use bigger calipers for the Mustangs, not just the PP.

There are wheels that work for the 18" application it just depends what you want.
