Very nice! My first car was a 65 coupe/289, wouldn't mind having another one either!

Is your 64.5 a 289 or 260? I know some of the really early ones came with a 260 and generator instead of alternator.
He already answered that earlier in this tread. He said "it says 289, but is actually a 302".

Wow! Both very nice Mustangs. Love the color combos! My first was a 67, I am hoping to add another to my stable in the next year or so myself.

Awesome, my first car was a 1966 Mustang with a 289, loved that car and regret getting rid of it every day.

Just saw this, and I have to say, nice cars! Neat having an original and the current model too. I hope to find a 65 fastback someday, like the one my father bought new when I was born. Good luck and enjoy them!
