Or if not outright removal, how would I have it worked so I can get rid of it.

Tried to sell my lower RTR Grill to this group I'm a part of and they said just remove the ACC, which to be honest I don't use at all (Oversensitive Collision warning that reacts to a falling leaf as you're driving aside)

Only reason I'm considering this is because of my lower RTR grill. Thanks for taking a look,

Might as well add before you ask, when the family asks to come with you to car shop, say no, they're gonna add shit that isn't necessary because they don't know better and override you, and the dealer will order it anyway xD

Why not just turn it off? And what's so special about a lower grill?

Just saw it's a little sensor, wonder if it'd get messed up if I got rid of the plastic protecting it

Doesn't look symmetrical, like you got the open front grill and the bottom with the plastic protecting the sensor, which also blocks air that could be coming in

That's what happened to me, salesman ordered it when I ordered my car - I didn't want it! There's a thread about DIY grills in the Cosmetic section. I specifically asked the same question you are asking and this is the reply I got: if you remove the plastic on the lower grill to replace w/an aftermarket lower grill it WILL throw a code. Guys with ACC are just replacing the upper grill and not the lower. I have a Coyote badge for an aftermarket upper grill but I keep holding out on doing the conversion thinking someone will come up with a solution for replacing the lower grill

And you read the occasional "I did an ACC delete" or something, then you never get clarification on how they did it, although I did find this

Sorry to hear that bud, what a scumbag to do that to you

Lol @ scumbag comment, hey he & I are buds now. Talk to him on the phone etc about stuff other than cars. Anyway check this out - this is the thread I was referring to though it's locked now.

My bad, just who throws in something you don't want other than family when you're away somewhere xD Could be worse

Good thread, I could probably do it myself, and I'm hardly mechanically inclined since I lack the tools, garage and experience

Visit the homebrew Can-bus BCM modification thread in the DIY section. You may be able to find a way to disable there.
Really? Hell yeah, I'll definitely check it out, I wanna get a new bumper and don't wanna deal with that crap anymore
