Hey Guys/Gals new to the forum.

I searched before here and google to any insight but I didn't find any creditable information.

I am going to be in the market for either an '18 or ordering a '19 very soon, and with either model year it'll be with the A10. I'm looking at both the 301A package in the GT, or just getting the premium, so no matter which I chose both would be equipped with the driving modes. Now I'm not looking at the PP, the brembo's and strut tower brace aren't a big deal to me, as the car will be a daily, and never will be on a circuit track, and maybe a drag strip twice a year.

With that said, with the 10 speed and its gearing so close together do you guys feel that in stock or lightly modded form (Intake, Tune) that the 3:55 has a big advantage over the 3:15, or would it be minimal with so many gears? There are quite a few cars in my selling area with 3:15's, but a smaller amount that are non PP with the 3:55 option. So what would you guys say would be the difference in the 1/4 between the two gear sets in drag mode?

Many good points were made in this thread. Before I ordered mine I simply drove both the 3.15 and 3.55 several times. It's important to switch back and forth between the normal and sport+ drive mode(s) during the test drives. You will then see the differences and it will be clear what you will prefer, and therefore, no regrets. You can go crazy by over analyzing this!


For me, the 3.15 meets my needs; when I want a change in engine and transmission response (and there is a significant change) I switch to the sport+.............

I would imagine a few upgrades (tune + H pipe) would render the point moot anyways.
