"ps4s > mpss" Ps4s = new tyre of choice.
Ps4s out performed the Mpss by a healthy landslide, new wet/hot compound better grip, new tread pattern, better heat displacement, some special thread so the wheel doesn't distort and keeps contact patch the same.

I have PS4 S on my Mondeo since last week. 235/40 19s. They are good. Not as good in the wet as the Rainsport 3's they replaced but totally competent and predictable in all conditions. Three things I've noticed so far, they are harsher than RS3's, they are massively susceptible to having the wrong pressures (the tyre place under inflated them) and look flatter than other brands.
Good rim protection too; albeit too late for the Mondeo.:doh:

Nothing can rival the Rainsport 3 really in the wet. like I say there is a group of us who track and race M3's and in testing the Rainsport 3 was around 7s a lap quicker at Oulton Park than Goodyear F1AS2 and MPSS. In fact it was only 3s off the pace of cut wet slicks, really has incredible water clearing ability.
As such it is the wet tyre of choice for track days, set of wheels with those on and a set of wheels with MPSS or Cup 2's on for dry as it looses out big time in the dry.
