The converter really has nothing to do with how the trans shifts. That's all tuning. All the converter does is allow you to flash the converter and launch at higher rpms than the stock converter.

You're 23% right, also I'm well away on how a convertor works.

There are a few tenths to be had from optimized trans tuning on the Gen 3 for sure.
My car picked up maybe 15 rwhp from the dyno tuning but saw gains over 3 tenths and 3 mph at the track over stock. The power gains don't back that up, but the trans changes do...

my previous vehicle was 2017 challenger scatPack with the 8 speed, same thing when i got it tuned only picked up 15 wheel hp. but the trans. tuning made it feel like it gained 50hp.
