Being driven that way by the dealer, LE or not: unacceptable in so many ways.

Being driven by the owner: acceptable and I applaud him for using the LE like it was meant to be used (it wasn't meant for a collection, btw).

Weather it's an LE or not plays no part on the issue.
Maybe the original person backed out, but that serial number was ordered by a different name than the guy taking delivery so to speak.

That's the way it should be! What dealer in NJ are you working with.
Ed Carney on Rt. 10 in East Hanover. Real cool guy - Bill Murphy is my saleman. He's keeping me up to date when he gets information. I feel bad telling him I know everything he tells me twop days earlier thanks to M6G & Rachel... ;)

Last month I posted on the LE thread what happened to me and my order. After seeing those videos I will rehash it. I ordered on may 20th just like a lot of other people on this site, the anticipation began. First I got my vin and was real excited to find out my car would be #480. Then I waited and waited until finally I got my window sticker. The MSRP was higher than it should have been, at first I was puzzled. Then I saw it was auto trans and I clearly ordered a manual. Contacted my salesman who I also bought my 2012 Boss 302 from, really a good guy. He said he didn't change the order but in July someone made the change to an auto trans. They had a second allocation which an ex employee had bought and it was a manual. They talked to him and he said he was fine with switching and taking the auto and I will get the manual. They didn't even have a vin for the second car so I'm waiting all over again. He didn't buy it from my salesman, being he was an ex employee I think someone made the change so he would get his car sooner.
I'm happy that I will get the car I wanted, but hearing that his car is the first LE in California really pissed me off.....

Good to hear that it was the owner doing the driving.

Also cool that after all the talk about "Who's going to test line lock leaving the dealer?", it ends up being a dude with an LE model.

Good for him!

The first question I asked the sales people and manager when I picked up my GT was. Who has driven it and did they use line lock. The car had 10 miles and they didn't even know what line lock was.
