According to Ford UK, today is officially 50 years to the launch of the UK Mustang, so i thought i would compare from where it began to our day in the UK...

I was at the MOCGB function at Ford, Dunton last year. A bloke there had a convertible pre-production Mustang first registered in the UK before the first official car was sold in the States. I think from memory it was early April 1964 - shown on the tax disc. It came to Europe for evaluation. Anyhow I would have thought Ford would have recognised that as the start point (and indeed, they should have bought the man's car for posterity). Wish I had taken a picture of it now!
