Do you think you would be able to print custom emblems? Had an idea for one but lack the 3d printer.
Yes emblems should be easy.

Is it possible to make rocket winglets kind of like the roush one on a 3D printer?
I should be able to if you can either get your hands on pics of every angle of them while they are off the car. Or possibly a 3d file of them.

Looks like a decent piece of gear, all the experience I have is with makerbots

It still uses slic3r to cut the objects. I think i may need a smaller nozzle to get more accurate prints. Makerbots and prusas arent too different

I have a printer too, an Ultimaker2. The material you use matters a lot for 3d printing. PLA, I now know, gets soft at low temps. I was looking at printing up something custom to place over the pony on the front grill, since I cannot yet get a blank hex grill. I lost some things just because I left them out in the sun for a while and they warped badly. I haven't tried ABS yet, I am curious as to whether it can take the heat.

I know abs can because thats what most plastic parts on cars are made of.

We've been using a Robo 3D Printer for prototyping. It's a great tool.

Although using it for a final product is extremely time consuming and even with the best 3d printers it still won't be perfect.

Also ABS printing is a nasty business, it smells horrible when printing.

I prefer pla.

Pla is more brittle and can snap easily wheras ABS is a bit more durable.

Another issue is that when your making a precise part you have to account for shrinkage.

Id be interested in some good looking bezels that would relocate the fog lights into the grill. Basically you would need to design the bezel so you can bolt the factory fog lights into the back of them securing them into a modified grill.
