Curious if anyone had their cars transported by rail using Canadian National Railway (CN)? My car was shipped recently and I was surprised to learn from the dealer which railway it was on.

As expected, I am unable to track the rail car on its journey as I cannot set up an account on their site.

BTW/FYI- OrderTrack seems to be having some issues they're working on since last night.

I’ve read here before that they should all start out on CSX and so you can track through CSX. I didn’t try tracking railcar so I can’t confirm or deny but give it a shot with the railcar number.

How do you track your order before you have a VIN?
You have to get the VIN to be able to track unfortunately. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

Thanks. The dealer indicated it left on CN, but I tried going on the CSX site just to see. No dice.
I was able to confirm with FP chat that it is on its way. Last scanned in Toledo, OH.....so it appears to be heading in the right direction!

My car os also on a Canadian National railcar, so I'm wondering if that is just the actual railcar and not necessarily the train. In the dark too. My car was shipped Monday and is going to Houston. Ford says ETA is Nov 11 - 17, but also said Sept 11 - 17 and Oct 11 - 17, so I'm thinking ETA is really just when to expect an update.

How do you track your order before you have a VIN?
You can send your order code along with the dealer code to Ford performance, they will let you know the status of scheduling. The codes will be on your order form.
Example: If you are unscheduled-clean, you should get a VIN soon.

Anthony at Ford is great and quick to reply: [email protected]

Good luck

I really love the gt 500 wing, adds the final touch to the car and makes it really eye catching.

My car took about 15.5 days to the dealer. The rail went to the San Antonio Hub. Since I was in the "In Production" limbo when they gave me the Oct 24-Oct 30 window, I knew it would be wrong. If you also got an ETA date pushed out while you were "In Production" then the delivery date will be wrong.

Officially ordered 4/21/2022. Showed up today at dealer. I went to the dealer on 4/08/2022 and told him exactly what I wanted and he said he'd order it. Officially 4/21/2022 according to Ford's tracking system--which sucks.

6 months.

I ordered another one from the dealer that my other boss co-owns, that order was placed 8/18 I think it was. It showed up today too. Same exact car. I think they did a different priority level, or maybe it was one that someone else ordered and didn't pick up. Dunno. He came back to the shop, not 5 minutes after the local dealer called.

Pricewise the prior one (4/2022) is considerably less expensive. Interest is also locked in. The other one (my boss's dealer) is about $3400 more but I can get X plan on it, BUT interest is going to be higher. So I pay more OTD, and have a higher interest rate. That option is out. That's good for them, because they can now sell it to anyone else, for today's MSRP. And there ain't any haggle room on them because there ain't no cars on the lots to speak of.

I know half of you look past the fact that it's "just a 4 cylinder" but if you knew what I've had to go through this last 5 1/2 months, you'd kind of understand. Plus, the ecoboost is plenty for a daily. I have another car that will kill it-and kill a Mustang GT, and a GT500, on a drag strip. Absolutely annihilate them. So if I have the urge to go fast, I go to the track. In those 5 1/2 months the truck (which I daily drive) lost an injector. I just pulled the valve cover and disconnected it. Then the cups begin to leak. I don't have any vacation time left to fix the truck, so I have to suck up the fact that it runs on 6 1/2 cylinders (powerstroke 7.3, one injector is also bad but it still runs on it, intermittently), and every few weeks I have to drain and refill the cooling system because it fills with diesel. 8 gallons of coolant. I've done this for the last 5 1/2 months. Plus the interior is falling apart, the transmission is getting weak, needs tires, etc. The fox body? It sits. It's overbuilt, and very hard to drive on the streets, at least where I have to travel daily for work. It takes me 21 minutes average to go 1.1 miles, from work to the freeway, and from there it takes me 7 minutes to get home. Only route there is to get where I'm going. Plus the fox uses a TON of fuel; it was originally thought up as a project for a weekend car, which is exactly what it is. Ok for a backroad cruise on the highway, in town and to/from work? SUCKS.

So to say that the ecoboost showing up is a blessing, is an understatement. But that also means I'm gonna have to get busy fixing the truck....

'22 Ecoboost 200A carbonized gray. Nothing special.

You have a cracked injector cup or two on the powerstroke.
