Hey guys, I guess this is my official first post! Just picked up a 16 EB PP and I'm set on Sportlines (despite several "bad" reviews on the ride, I just don't see another spring that gives me the same ride height) with a 20" BBS LM rep/style wheel. I already put a deposit down on a set of cheapo JNC005 20x10 et25 since they're on backorder and I know there are a couple other options out there (XXR 521, ESR SR05, etc), but they're either all on backorder also or don't have the size/offset I'm looking for.

I've seen at least one example of this specific wheel on a base GT (same front calipers) and supposedly they fit without a spacer, but if I need to run a 5mm spacer, no biggie. I've also seen several examples of the XXR521 that pokes about 1-2mm more with no major issues, even with a 5mm spacer up front.

What I'm really torn/confused on is the best tire size for this set up. I've seen a reported 275/30/20, 275/35/20, 285/30/20, and 285/35/20....I don't care about width, it's just a daily driver that I'm looking to have a little fun with and maintain the best mpg possible, but I'd prefer not to stray too far from the stock height of 27" in either direction if I don't have to in order to avoid rubbing. Closest option is the 285/30/20, which is just short 1/4", is that a tried and true size for a similar set up?

Why on Earth would you run that ET on a 10 inch wide wheel? That's about 15mm too low and will poke like crazy.

Lol I appreciate the reply, but that's not true. I guess it depends on what your definition of "poke like crazy" is, but It's a tried and true aggressive fitment

After thinking about it again, I think I'll go with the 275/35/20 for a little extra sidewall and ground clearance. I was just worried about the taller tire being a concern for rubbing, but it looks like plenty of people have run it in the past with the same offset and springs. Anyone else have any input by chance?

With ET 25 , if you’re lowered and With stock alignment you will have flush maybe 2-3mm of poke which might be corrected with a bit of added negative camber...in the rear however you’ll have about 5mm of poke, it should be doable but you’ll have more tire wear on the inside. Your choice of 275/35/20 is perfect as your speedometer will be spot on. I’m interested to see Your setup.

+35 is pretty much flush on the rear, so +25 should poke. I guess you can dial in extra rear camber to tuck it.

+25 is probably fine up front with 275 or 285 tires.

I'm not worried about correcting 2-3mm of poke, that's basically within the detectable realm of "flush" haha. I'm actually seeing 275/35/20 to be over a half inch taller than the stock 255/40/19, so it'll be a couple mph off, but I'd rather have a little extra sidewall than less with a 285/30/20. I'll be sure to post it in the thread once/if the wheels ever come in haha

The couple examples I've seen show the rear being almost perfectly flush. One guy that was running 10.5 et30, which has essentially the same offset as a 10 et25, said he was considering even adding a 5mm spacer to the rear haha
