Here are a few pictures of the Ford Performance Street Handling package installed on my 2022 Mustang GT. The car is a 401a premium non PP1 and came with the 18” factory base wheels with 235/50/18 Pirelli tires. My suspension upgrades so far are the aforementioned FP kit, FP strut tower brace kit, Steeda IRS bushing inserts, 255/45/18 Continental DWS06 Plus tires and 1/4 inch rear spring spacers from Steeda. Some other tidbits of information are that the new 255/45/18 Conti tires are .3 shorter than stock and the rear 1/4” spacers raise the rear by 1/2” based on Steeda‘s description. The tires do not look out of place on my 18x8 factory wheels and are the largest tire recommended by Continental for an 18x8 wheel. They are maybe .4” wider on the rim mounted than the factory 235/50/18. They have a better thread design, a more sports car oriented appearance and weight 4 pounds lighter per tire than the factory size. Not that it matters but they also have a load rating that is 300 pounds higher than the factory size. A cars stance is a very personal preference. I am a relatively “old school” type car guy that wanted better than factory handling, wider tires and a lower but not slammed stance, with a touch of rake. I also wanted to stay close to a factory style in appearance and actually like the clean, understated look of the base wheels. They are also light as in 24 pounds a piece. Here are a few pics….

As far as installation goes, I had the Ford Performance Street Handling kit installed by a shop, Performance Evolution in Smyrna, Delaware. The kit went on without issue and included a new Ford OEM hardware kit. I have been in the car hobby about 30 years and Performance Evolution in Delaware is everything an enthusiast could want in a speed shop…..great work, great prices and great communication. I highly recommend them,

How much different is the ride now as compared to the stock suspension?

dude, that car looks perfect. maybe the 1/4" spacers in the rear was a little aggressive but i'd rather have the rear a little higher than the front than the other way around.

the thing nobody talks about with wider tires is the rocks they throw down the side of the car. that's why i only want to go 19x10 pp2's all the way around with the ford performance drop with steeda 1/8" spacers in the rear.

My question is who buys a 401 Premium car with base rental car wheels.

I did. I like the sleeper look. I come from a different generation though and I know it’s not everyone’s thing, and that is ok. These wheels are also very light at 24lbs a piece.

The ride is much improved. Rides like a factory performance car should. Very dialed in and responsive with no harshness at all.

I also like the look of these wheels. I wish different widths were available. Your ride is fire.

wtf you talkin about? those wheels look dope.
Thanks, I like them from a clean and simple design perspective. I also like them because they are light, OEM Ford and made in America.
