Well since I have had my 2019 GT/CS I am noticing one side seems to now have some adhesive not sticking as much anymore. I could take it in for warranty work and have them try refresh the adhesive... or should I have them taken off?

I cannot find the scoop yet in any Ford catalog, they seem to only go up to 2018... I recall the older gen had actual holes punched into the quarter panel for positioning?

However Ford has this VGR3Z-63279D36-A accessory scoop and it says no drilling required? but is this the same one used on the 2019 GT/CS and using just adhesive, or the one installed at the factory needs holes so the installer can align them easier?

Wonder if the S550 version behind has no holes punched and is just adhesive? if so that would mean I could remove the scoops completely and not leave any holes behind?

Update..... Looks like the GT/CS scoop is different from the VGR3Z-63279D36-A Air Design scoop. The shape on outside looks similar, but the fake honeycomb is a different texture design, also the insert of the VGR3Z-63279D36-A is a flat insert, the GT/CS honeycomb insert actually includes some of the fender side wall in the mold.

I see from CJ pony video, the scoop before the insert is added, looks smooth, but as by Iooking at some of the gap between GT/CS insert and inner wall of scoop toward the outside wall, it had some elevated sections.

So have to wait and see for anyone who ever yanks one off or can get the actual part number and a full photo description of the part and how is it applied.

My drivers side has come loose twice and I’ve reinstalled it with very good 3M 2-sided tape. In a pinch I ran it through an automatic car wash twice… very regrettable.

What did you discover?
I never removed mine, so I have no idea how the inside looks. positoning holes or not? or just 100% Adhesive.

The other person that posted has aftermarket scoops not GT/CS

Might do some body shop work and ask if they can remove the scoops but last thing I want is to see holes or especially paint fade for a 3 year old car

I really don't think you have any holes ,you could possibly remove your inner back side panel and and remove your back seat to check .that would be easy .
