I just got my car back the other day. They said I was short a quart of oil and they reset the system. I no longer have the hard shifts at all. I will post my service order once I get home.
Oil or tranny fluid?

They reset the trans so it can relearn....
My A10 transmission 95% of the time is fine but one cold morning my rpm’s shot up coming from reverse to drive and then settled down. Every now and then I hear what sounds like a pump running underneath when driving slow from the transmission then disappears. I’m not sure if that’s normal so reluctant to take it in.

Oil or tranny fluid?
I checked my documentation this morning. Here is what it says.

Concern: Check and Report - Harsh Shift from Park to Drive
Cause: Fluid Level Low
Correction: Roadtest/Harsh Shift into Drive from Park / Harsh Downshifts - No Codes No Leaks / Fluid Level is Low Approx One Litre - Top Up Fluid Level / Perform PIDS on TR Mode - Good / Reprogram PCM, Reset KAM / Perform Shift Strategy / Vehicle to Perform Adaptive Learning

Oil - Automatic Tran - XT 12 QULV

Is there a dipstick for the tranny fluid on our mustangs? I need to look for one. If not, maybe the transmission is a sealed unit.....

Unsure but I know the QULV was on a TSB regarding what to use as well.
