I am new here so please forgive me. First a little background.

I had a car ordered last year and still don't have it (not a Ford). Dealer informed me that he can convert the order over to 2016 but no price quarantee. Short after nearly a year wait I told them to cancel. Already started to look at other cars before I went to get my deposit.

Stoped at a Ford dealer and asked a couple questions. He said it will be most likely a late arrival.

I have seen some already pre-ordered their 2016 model. I am interessted in the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby. Hope it will have the option of convertible. Does any one have information when to expect the ordering will open or when more detailed informations will be released.

Sorry a bit anxious and don't want to go through the same again.

I didnt think they were coming back until 2017 unless you're talking about the Shelby GT. Or is this about the GT350(r)?

I think it is the GT350 but not sure. The 2017 model is rumored to be 740+HP.

I am new to the topic so still learning and a lot of reading here.

The 2016 GT350 allocations are already out, but I don't think the orders can be fulfilled yet. I know my local dealership has 2 allocations and they don't expect to see the cars until late this year.

Keep in mind that to order a GT350 you'll have to find a dealership with (A) an open allocation that will (B) sell it to you at a price you're willing to pay. Most of the 2016 cars will have an ADM on them. You'll either need to have a dealership that you already have a good long term relationship with or you'll be spending a lot of time on the phone calling dealerships looking for a deal.

As others have noted-2016 GT350 allocations are out (dealers in the program know their allocation but not necessarily when they will get the order filled). Ordering has begun but just because you order now doesn't mean you'll get the car soon--"picking" up and full filling the order is up to the regional manager.

MSRP for a stripper barebones GT350 is $49,999 (including destination and gas guzzler tax). Most dealers with an allocation for a single car will not order a stripper.
Most cars will MSRP for about $57,000 with the tech package.
NO convertible and NO automatic
Suggest you go to the GT350 portion of this forum.

Thank you. I will go and ready up on everything in the GT350.

Manual transmission is no issue because it is a must have item in my new toy. I am tired and sick of the automatic. Yes, I will have additions to the car beside the Navi. Technology package is very intersting to add to the car (already spoiled by electric car seat with memory etc.) Understand that dealers don't want to waste their single allocation on a barebone car.
Oh and I can wait on the car. Already waited on a different car for a year so waiting a couple month will be fine with me.
