2016 Mustang GT Coupe purchased yesterday

I went to the Ford store this weekend and purchased this 2016 GT coupe with the performance package which included the staggered wheel application. I paid $33,600 in Knoxville, TN - might have been able to do better, but I hate the car buying process.

So far, I've been blown away with the performance and overall "feel" of the car. The last pony I owned was a 2008 GT coupe. There is no comparison between the two. I'm really enjoying it.

In the background you might be able to make out my neighbor's Mach 1 from '04.

This stripe is what the dealer called a "ghost stripe". From the side of the car you can't even see it on a sunny day because of the high gloss blue paint. Then the closer you get to the car, you think to yourself, "Wow. Nice stripe..."

Ford's actual name of Silver Racing Stripe sounds more cool to me...but I can see where the "ghost" comes from LOL.

You're absolutely right! I noted that at the dealer. It was day light when I finished the test drive and dark when I drove it home off the lot. That glow you talk about is even a somewhat different color of blue under those huge dealer lights. Fantastic color.

Color and car are awesome! Not a fan of the stripes though. Always hated how Ford designs the stripes to not cover the entire length of the car like the Shelby's.
