2015 Mustang GT Roush Phase 1 & Stock Clutch is slipping. Whats a good upgrade?

2015 Mustang GT Roush Phase 1 & Stock Clutch is slipping. 1st day with Drag radials and the clutch slips on launch and higher revs. What's is a good aftermarket clutch to replace with. I have no experience with upgrading to stronger clutches and there seems to be a lot of choices. I plan in the future to upgrade to the phase 2 when it comes out and will stop there with adding power. I see there are pucks, double clutches and just heaver ones. I did not see one from ford racing.Any thoughts will help.

Exedy Mach 500 and light weight flywheel is what I have , very strong but very street able ..I'm sure it would be fine for your stage 1 ...Not sure about stage 2 ...

Yes. You stated you are going stage two, does it ever end there?

Don't need to do it twice, one and done....

Don't mess around.. Get the RXT and call it a day. Otherwise, you'll be changing it out again in a year.

RXT or SPEC dual.

We have a bit more experience with the RXT's than SPEC but a lot of our customers swear by them.

This is just one of the reasons I traded my manual in for an auto. My wife was another. It didn't take long for me to realize I wanted to go forced induction and I knew from past experience that a manual trans car seems to have more secondary issues after FI is installed. I also had read great things about the autos in the Mustangs.

From what I have read, and I may be wrong, a stronger clutch and upgraded axles shafts are the big ones. I would also think that replacing the rubber diff. bushings would be in order due to the extra hp. and tq. being twisted around back there when hammering on the gears. As far as clutches go, I have only driven one car with a puck style clutch and it was very unforgiving. It took the drivability away from the car and made it jerky when trying to pull away from a stop.

Just my .02 cents and with inflation, it is even less.
