So are we going to get a VIN# in 2-3 weeks? Is this what I understand? And then when the car gets "PULLED" meaning when the dealers "SLOT" becomes a available, (which is determined by a computer then the car gets built? Please correct me.

This is a great question...I order a 2015 F-150 Platinum Edition the first day you could order one....4-5 months later my buddy calls me and said hey I bought a 2015 F-150 etc...I said what? call my dealer and he said yes..FORD lets us order our inventory first and your vehicle will be order soon. I said like hell I want my deposit back and FORD can kiss my butt. ( I still love FORD, its just talk,..lol, although I was pissed on how they handled the ordering etc..) So I hope this is not the same fiascoes as that was.....:frusty::ford:

Somehow doesn't seem logical to build "inventory" on this sort of specialty vehicle. Are we sure they are going to do this on the GT350?

In a lot of cases, "inventory" just means "I'm going to order a loaded one and see how high the bidding goes when it arrives." :tsk:

Yep, basically had a smaller dealer with 1 allocation tell me exactly that. Basically just a dealer ordered car vs one already allocated to a specific customer

Nothing will happen to any order UNTILL the allocation is determined by Regional office as I understand it. That's why we will all have to be patient.Obviously some will get their cars before others. At 150 cars per week(Just a guess) on my part....... it will take a while.:shrug:

I have heard that our orders will come in behind the dealer inventory orders and then there is the quarterly allotment formula to contend with. The estimated delivery window is very broad. It could come as early as September but maybe as late as December or January. I won't complain though because at least I am confirmed to get one and I got it at MSRP. We orders ours within a day of each other. Please keep in touch to let me know how your process goes we can compare timing. Mine is listed as priority 10. I have seen others at pri 15 etc...
