Hello this is my first post and hopefully it works out with pictures and attachments.
Hopefully in two to three weeks I'll be the very proud owner of this new Beast.
I'm buying it from a gentleman who purchased the car 2 years ago has barely driven it and I'm guessing the rear brakes did not bother him, visually they are killing me.
As you will see in the attached pictures, the front have the Roush brakes, the rear even if they work perfectly fine which I'm sure they do, I would like to upgrade to something visually appealing, but inexpensively a bigger rotor and a red or black caliper, I will never drive this car anywhere near its capacity it is my Sunday Cruiser the front brakes I'm sure we'll stop me for whatever I need.
Next question is any opinions on the rims? the owner has no documentation, when he bought the car he was told they are Forgiato rims, I called the company in California they told me there should be a stamping on the Inside Edge or inside of the rim, but they also told me that there are knock-offs on the market out there, to me these look like a standard 5-spoke and somebody bought Forgiato center caps and stuck them on there what do you guys think? Front tire is 285/30-20... Rear 345/25-20
One last question the car is coming from Minnesota to New York have contacted a couple high-end enclosed car carriers any other recommendations from companies you guys have used and had great success with of taking TLC on a car when transported
Thanks Rick.

First off welcome to the board.

So let me dive into this for you and im going to go in a mixed sequence.

1. Contact JP Logistics their the best in the industry for transport hands down. Great guys great service of course up there in price but when purchasing a car last thing you want is your vehicle to be damaged in anyway.

2. The way you need to check the wheel is to have them taken off and check the stamping and also there should be a number engraved code on the backpad check that provide it to Forgiatio to verify.

3. There really is not much that can be done, if you upgrade them then possibly new Brembo read brake kit.

Let me know if I can help in anyway.

Hey Paul, thanks for your help, I didn't realize it at the time that this forum is for 6th generation stangs for the most part.
Do you have any recommendations for other forums for older mustangs?
Thank you Rick
p.s. do you take phone calls at your business? or are you too busy? I want to do some exhaust work and suspension work on my car.

No worries brotha I for instance dont have a issue with Mustang owners of all gens on here, I cant speak for everyone but I doubt they would have issues.

There are a few boards for S197 platforms, roush specific platforms and such.
