Probably not important so just for interest... Did you know the Mustang has 2 OBD ports?
I finally got around to completing the hardwiring for my dashcam and with some of the dashboard trim removed I was able to get a good look at the extra ODB port which I noticed previously. I've been considering getting some sort of ODB lock to prevent possible adhoc key fob programming but does anyone know why there would be 2 connectors and is this common on other vehicles?
Here is a view of the first OBD port above the accelerator pedal (RHD)
Remove dashboard trim especially the part that houses the sunglasses holder.
Look into the space where the sunglasses holder was and you can just see the second OBD port.
The second OBD port is hidden right inside the dashboard.
A close-up of the main OBD port. Notice that the 2 ports have a different manufacturing construction but the identical contacts are used for both ports.
