Obviously there are a few exceptional deals (below MSRP) on R models at present one of which you referred to but if you think that with the diminishing supply of 2018 R's that purchasing a new R model below MSRP is going to be the norm you best think again.

Of the 629 R models produced for the 2018MY there are/will be only a handful of them that fall under this below MSRP category especially with the R's for the 2019MY still at least 6 months away.

Fortunately I’ve traded mines in because of the oil consumption issues that Ford knows about and aren’t really doing much about it. I’ve stepped away from the brand for a while because of this
