Yeah, That's the last time I take word from a salesman. They told me in Cali we're given 30 days to make the change, That's why they take copies of the policy, So they know we have an active one... All BS.

Our dealers here insure the car for 10 days so that you have time to insure the car yourself. The dealer needed my insurance information to take the car home anyway so while telling my agent to fax them my proof of insurance coverage they printed out my insurance cards. Picked them up on the way home from the dealer. No need to worry about the dealer covering me.
