Searching for a Mustang
I keep looking at Mustangs and can't make my mind up.

My original plan was to order an 18MY with all the bits on it but I've missed that boat and would now be looking at a 19MY. I'm not prepared to wait that long though... I'm impatient.

I keep looking at the 17MY's at the moment. Other then the 0% offer there doesn't seem to be much discount on offer. I wasn't planning on financing the car but if there's no discounts for cash and the only deal available is the 0% it seems a bit daft not to use it.

I popped into Peoples Ford in Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and Evans Halshaw in Glasgow in Sunday. They seem to reckon there are only a handful of 17MY's available.

Part of me can't help but think they're trying to sell what they've got and not looking at what's in Zeebrugge. Is there any way to get an actual list of what's available?

Does anyone know what the best deal to be had is? I don't enjoy phoning around and trying to negotiate the best deal and would rather find a dealer who will just give me the best deal going with minimal fuss...

Also, any recommendations on an excellent dealer to buy from? I don't mind travelling :)

David.

Hi David, I'm the Mustang and performance specialist at the uk's Largest Ford Store based in Nottingham. please contact me direct. [email protected].
i'll be honest there isn't much left on the 17, i can order cars in for you no problem but availability is limited. I do however have some canceled 18s fully loaded. Please contact me if you would like to look into a deal.

Loads of 17’s left, quite a few 2018’s sat in stock at dealers too but they keep them quiet!

At least 14 MY17’s at Stoneacre York where I work, all except one are GT’s.

Let me know if you want any particular spec and I’ll see what there is.

get a lightly modded 2nd hand one off a member on here cheaper and had all the shit fixed so you don't have to go and spend a fortune fixing it in the first place

If going for a 17MY I'm looking for either Lightning Blue or Ruby Red with Custom Pack and Ebony Leather.

both are awesome colours i'm biased towards LB since all my cars are blue (apart from one focus which is black never again!) but ruby is stunning when clean and in good sun shine

We had a Ruby Red hire car when we were in the States last year. I was amazed by the colour in the sun. Blue would be my first choice but I wouldn't be in any way upset if I had Ruby Red :)

If going for an 18MY it'd be Kona Blue.

Lighting blue 100% over Ruby Red. But looks better with the black wheels rather than the custom pack wheels and chrome.
The best colours for Mustang are Lighting Blue and Race Red ;)

Everyone knows that triple yellow is actually the best choice!

pops in the sunshine makes you feel good every time you see it or drive it!

Blue and red are ok though....

mine is on its way from Belgium, when I asked what they had in stock, they said only a few, RR, White, and Black, .....thinking they had them actually in stock and round the back, I placed an order and then was told about weeks for it to appear

it's only 3 weeks though and you'll be getting a new car, as in not one that's had lots of people sat in it , washed every day with a sponge that's washed 30 cars that day, hosepipes getting dragged around it , I could've had one from UK stock but decided to wait for a new one

The dealers prepared to offer good px deals have probably shifted most, if not all of their stock. My local dealer Furrows couldn't match Evans Halshaw for px price. But neither had a GB in stock, I was looking at black GTs but got cold feet. That said, if the remaining stock gets reduced by another ÂŁ5K with 0% finance I would be "re-interested".
