Think I will be able to use this if I am a member of Costco? Or will they give me problems since already signed the paperwork (yellow paper)

You should ask your dealer for it. My dealer said: "If it is on again you can use the $1,000 Costco rebate for sure."

So it is up to you and your dealership. But Ford Canada is offering it.....

I got the 1000$ Costco rebate upon ordering the car in mid-October... No other stuff though - nothing like x-plan in the US, not even the Esso fuel discount card I got back in April when I purchased my current ride :-(

The Costco discount is only available on certain models, if I remember correctly it was not available on the Mustang (I used to sell Ford) unless something has changed and they included that model.

Don't take my word for it tho ask your dealer it dosent hurt to ask right.

I think you must have been a Costco member more than 3 or 6 months in order to get the discount.

Nope, actually the salesman recommended getting one from Costco if I didn't have yet... (I had)

The way the Costco rebate usually runs is you have to be a member before the first day of the month the rebate is running, if you do not have a membership, than you can use another members of the household's membership as long as it's the same address and they had it before the first day of the rebate month.

This is what I remember from my days at Ford :)

How does the discount work? Does it come out of the dealers pockets or Costco pays them?

it is between costco and ford of canada (corporate not dealer level).

all i cared about when i bought my 2011 was where it said on the paperwork "costco discount -$1000" :)

The reason I asking if it came out of the dealers pocket they would be reluctant to give the discount but since it does not, they should not give me a hard time.

nope i don't think there should be a hard time... well, maybe there might be some grumbling about having to fill out the costco rebate application forms.

You get the $1,000 taken off the bill of sale at the dealership. The dealership will recoup the $1,000 from Costco.
