I had a bit of fun last night trying to beat my all time best times

Couldn't do it:doh::frusty:

I thought my new lightweight brakes might just give me a 10th but no matter what I tried, the best I could do was match my existing best, and I only did that a couple of times..:rant:

So O-60 in 4.6 and 0-100 in 9.1 seems to be as good as it gets for now

Got a nice set of Michelin pilot sports in the garage, might try again once they're fitted

Maybe try 0-60 just before you about to remove Pzero, Line lock them, get them super hot and sticky, then launch it hard, give the Pzero a great send off.

How the flying fk have you lot taken "yer da sells avon" which has become a common joke term across most people (at least of my generation) as an insult i'll never know. It's literally used in my office as a throw away statement, and by friends/family, it literally means nothing :lol: .

If I wanted to personally attack someones family or themselves, I'd have done just that, not say they sell avon for fooks sake. :lol: - Take the comment as the complete tounge in cheek unrelated, unoffensive words it was.

Isn't 0-60 times not heavily reliant on your ability to mash gears FAST more than it is power (Of course power will help get it lower, but power and no speed in shifting would result in slower times). I'll actually make an effort to go out and do some tonight instead of refitting hood vents and painting "gash"

Probably not even 1 gear change. Only found out a few days ago eco's been g1mped... we got .31 gears rather than .55 for fks sake :lol:

For me personally, such comments bring back bad memories, maybe because it was recent, but if you'd had aimed it at me, I'd probably want to rip your head of and shit down your neck. By the way I don't! ;)

I have no idea of Lone Survivors feeling on the matter, but if similar to mine you best go in hiding, but good work on the apology.

Anyway back to the subject, 0-60 is weight, traction and ability to mash gears, why auto's are generally quicker, manuals can be as quick if your a pro and have zero mechanical sympathy.

Horsepower has little impact on it once you go beyond 350 horses. My M3 is around 4.1s because its light (1300kg) and is exceptional at mashing gears, one day I think the gearbox will just fall out its so damn aggressive. ;)

Mac also proves this, many here are running 4.6s 0-60 on stock car or just a canned tune, I ran 4.7 myself in the big girl with a manual granny shifting.

Mac has what 400HP on me, but went 4.5s and the 0.2s was no doubt in his launch and mashing gears, you can see from his video he was not gentle with her. ;)

This is why an Impreza is fast, 300HP, light, AWD and a gearbox that enjoys being raped violently, they can do it in 4.3s, quicker than Mac 800HP beast.

Difference is Macs car takes 2.9s to go from 60-100mph (800HP), Enochs around 4.5s (460HP) and that Impreza which beats them both to 60 fails miserably on 60-100mph as takes around 6s, because this is where horsepower counts, at higher speeds in higher gears.

If my one goal was 0-60 I would never of purchased a Mustang, buy an Impreza or Audi S3/RS3 they will smoke a Mustang all day long, or go to level 10 and just get a GTR. All have less power than Mac, considerably less but would absolutely murder him off the line and all of us, even the 0-60 instructors such as KevD.

Seriously Mustang, big girl, big lazy V8, she is a cruiser and her strength is on a roll acceleration, 60-130mph is glorious in these cars performance wise and the noise is intoxicating.

But 0-60, hell a BMW diesel can go faster. :eyebulge:
