Just been browsing the American section forums & noticed someone from AM who said something about a discount code for forum members.
Has anyone here in UK had any experience with this? Ta, Col

Reply from American Muscle today;

Colin,

Apologies for the delay on my end. I fortunately don't believe that our forums code can be used on international orders at this time. I'm pushing to make this a possibility in the future. Sorry to not have great news here but let me know if you have any other questions and I hope you have a great rest of the evening.

Alex

If anything changes in the future..... I'll let you all know. Bit of a shame though

Does it have to be AM? I've never found them to be cheapest for the stuff I've bought. Also you could use a forwarder such as Stackry to make it more of a "domestic" order?

Not particularly no. At some point I want a catch can, FR tower strut brace & hood struts but don't know where or when yet. Just stumbled on the discount code & thought I'd ask for starters.

You can always try CJ Pony parts and use discount code requested from CJ directly.

They can ship internationally or as mentioned earlier, a company such as Stackry

Use stackry and consolidate your orders together, I saved roughly $90 shipping on a decklid, hood struts & some diode dynamics stuff.

Just tried an order with AmericanMuscle to try their I-parcel shipping which includes duty and tax. That all worked OK, but they sent the incorrect air-intake. Now getting the run around . T&C's state no returns. Will update on progress

Get hold of their guy on here. He appears to be called AMAlexLazarus...
The forum guys can be helpful in getting things sorted where the Customer Service can fail.

Ordering from the US can be great, but its when stuff 'goes wrong' that it can start to be a real headache.

Worth (where possible) ordering from the UK based guys like Nemesis or Steeda - then if there are problems, tis not such a problem to sort out.

when companies use a secondary company to ship international it can be a headache. Basically the main company would ship it to the international shipping company, then that company turns around and ships it to the customer/receiver. sometimes if something happens it is not an "easy" fix.

Was curious about their international policy and it looks like you have to contact I-Parcel about orders. Have you contacted them? if so what did they say?

Quick update a bit of ping pong. Iparcel stated AM Needed to sort this out as it was due to incorrect packing.AM requested photos which was duly sent. They then confirmed they couldn't send a replacement and were requesting iparcel make a refund. They confirmed yesterday that a refund is being processed. They were very helpful from AM I must say.

Let's hope the refund comes through.
