Is that only with the Kooks full exhaust or did it also have a tune?

Sheesh... That 500 that had such supercharger whine didn't even sound right compared to the 350. I thought a crotch rocket was warming up the tires...

That sounds so good under acceleration! Did you post dyno charts after the CAI and tune? I'm curious to see where the gains are.

The GT350 has 200 miles on it. The Z/28 owner was butt hurt and didn't hang around to talk about it.
I'm just curious, I see you mention the low mileage on the car In a few posts about power, does this have any effect on performance of any kind? Will a motor with 5k miles have more or less power than one with 500 miles?

I'll be happy to tell you numbers, but the will confuse some people. The car baselined 466 stock on a DynoJet at Roush. Then after exhaust only it made 491 on the same dyno at Roush. The car was tuned on a MD Dyno when I got back from Kooks at MV Performance. We established a baseline there of 410. After a JLT CAI and tune it made 463. Yes, a 53 RWHP gain. I am skeptical and I was there for the testing. We don't race dyno's like we can race Z/28's, but they are more of a tool to help your tuner see what he's doing.

Having said all that, I'd love to pit it back on a DynoJet and see what the current number is now! LOL

As the car gets more mileage, it should "loosen" up a bit making a few more HP.

Funny. Guy shouldn't be mad, time marches on, and the general rule of thumb is there will always be someone faster. In this case it happened to be a NA 'Stang...

The tune was on 93 octane?!

That's so awesome. Do you have a dyno graph? I'd love to see the curve. I'd bet you're somewhere around 550whp on Roush's dyno.

Correct / 93 Octane. I'll get the dyno sheet posted early next week.

Did your butt dyno notice the gain after the CAI & tune?

So, after considering the gains from the exhaust, and now the gains from a tune and CAI, it looks like the GT350 is going to gain about 100 flywheel horsepower with those parts. That's pretty amazing.
