So far so good- wrapping the chrome in 3m vinyl piece by piece- last on the list is the gauge pods and re-do the door handle (lifting slightly). Otherwise very happy. GT350 wheel as many know, is awesome. Harnesses are great and went in pretty smooth.

Enjoy!

why did you go with 3m vinyl instead of plastidip? did you not have to remove anything for the vinyl? I'd rather do that then pull everything off. I need to de-chrome the shift boot, gauges, etc.

I originally had the steering wheel trim plasti dipped, but don't like the long term durability and wondering when I'll have to re-do it. I also really like the brushed steel look and texture of the 3m vinyl. Everything was pretty easy to remove- I did the cup holder trim and the airbag circle in-place (didn't remove- just real careful with a blade). I'll report on the gauges when I get them done. Will also do the door handles again as they are a learning curve for the complex angles.

Is the horn button a stock piece or something you made? Are there other designs?

Also are harnesses street legal or is yours track only?

Horn button is stock with the saleen overlay decal. The chrome rim around it remained, so I wrapped it. The harness is DOT approved according to schroth.

looks awesome.........no idea why manufacturers still feel the need to put shiny crap in the inside of sporty cars

How is the harness attached in the back?
I didn't take pics, but here is a fellow member's writeup for the rallye 4:

Let it be known that if you are shorter or have a little bit of extra weight, order the outboard side extension belt (just call the guys at schroth), because the length of material is right at its limit given how far back the outboard side mounting point is.

Update on the vents: took them out last night and attempted a wrap... didn't come out to my satisfaction so I'm exploring backup ideas.

Stay tuned.
