Hey Guys,

Is anyone interested in putting together a cruise and/or meet up at Colt State Park in Bristol, RI? It's a beautiful spot that we could either start or end at and is one of the few state parks that welcomes car meets/shows. It just so happens it's the nicest one too.

Can we throw some dates out there and see how much interest this generates? I live local and would be happy to secure the permit with the RIDEM if enough members are interested. Let's try and get the word out there. I think it should be open to anyone with a mustang and from anywhere, anyone would want to drive in from.

The local mustang meet ups are very weak - let's start a tradition!

I agree, all years of Mustangs. How much time do we want/need to spread the word? Weekend after July 4th??

Edit: fireworks are on the 3rd/Friday. It would be cool to have a meet and fireworks and parade all in the same weekend! Thoughts??

I'm going to leave it up to the masses. I will be coming what ever weekend you guys choose. I will do my best to spread the word once you pick a date. I think Colt State Park would be an awesome place to meet and I for one have no problem meeting there but I think it might be a little far for a lot of people. I am lucky to live on the Mass/RI border so it's easy for me to go either way. Colt State Park is 1 hour away from me (Plainville, MA) but I imagine the guys in and around Boston or Worcester might find it kinda far. It's a wonderful place but it's tucked in an area that's difficult to get to for almost anyone in MA.

It's hard to pick a spot for everyone I get it so I'm in where ever you guys pick. Slater Park in Pawtucket is a nice park to and it's a LOT easier for the Mass guys. Just throwing that about there.

I think I get my car back from Tasca Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning and I plan on going to Bass Pro car show in Foxboro, MA on Thursday. There can be as many as 2,000 + cars there and I will be meeting some Mustang guys there. We meet in a row called "Mustang Alley" and there is close to 50 Mustangs in that one row (+ many more scattered throughout the many rows of cars) so I will pass along any information you guys might come up with. Bass Pro show is every 2 weeks so I'll do my best to make every one between now and the date you guys pick to spread the word.

Hope to see some of you guys at Bass Pro this Thursday. Starts around 4PM and the last cars leave around 9PM.

Jaime

Yah it good idea to have more than one meet in a few different locations. I'll do my best to go to any of them.
