Q: When is the horsepower and torque rating coming out on that 5.2L Voodoo Flat Crank engine and will that be offered in a crate engine?

Pericak: ā€œWe’re probably a couple months away from sharing that information. We are going through the final certification stages and we’re probably 2 to 3 months away from sharing that information with everybody. I am very excited to share it and I know that everyone will be happy about that. As far as a crate version of that, it's not currently in the plans, but we’ll have to stay tuned on that.

Q: What about a supercharged version of the Shelby?

Pericak: I am not familiar with what that plan would be [smiles].

Pericak: "The exhaust note [of the GT350] is absolutely amazing. You will never get sick of hearing the exhaust note on that. We were just at the track the other day and every time one of us would come down and hit the back straight, everybody would just smile. It didn’t stop all day. It’s really a fantastic engine. The 350 and 350R are really fantastic products and I just can’t wait to get it out in people’s hands."

Definitely backs up the argument that.... vehicles designed for performance are safer cars to have on the roads.

Me thinks.....We're going to see ford put out a Petrol-electric high performance vehicle.

They'll call it the Ford "One"

2 to 3 months for specs. Maybe something announced at the NY show in April? Hoping we get more word on the full options and packages.

Engine vibration in a high rev. car, could lead to short life when run in high rev. I'd wait at least one year for this engine to get mature.

The 350R will be a good test car for this engine.

So if hp #'s are 2-3 months away then I guess ordering/pricing would start in early May?? I was hoping for March.
