Trigger warning: orange
I've been a bit bored of the side view of my car for a while. I mean even stock cars have black wheels as an option now. I didn't like the side skirts or stick on fake gt350 style vents or the window louvres so felt my options were limited. Used g2 paint and an orange pinstripe to match my OTT orange pinstripes.
Thoughts: I love the caliper look, and I love the wheel pinstripe look. Mirror is ok, and I'm undecided on the side stripe. I wanted more orange accents so I added them to the mirror, side, and even the dot on the 5.0. I could paint or wrap the whole side skirt/mirror orange but again just wanted accents and nothing too in your face.
I'm worried how "cheap" the side skirt accents look but I don't know what else to do. Might get big worm stripes and the traditional side stripes on the bottom of the paint that a lot of mustangs do.
The G2 paint is good, a little too wet looking if you're really close, but can't tell once you're a foot away even. In the future i might mix it to make it darker/less wet looking on a future car. Application on everything wasn't as hard as people made it sound, but we had two people so...probably not fair.
The pinstripe I ordered actually doesn't match my OTT pinstripes but I might take them off one day and replace it with the roll I bought. Not a huge issue right now.
PS: Sorry for the not great pictures. I wish I could get better pictures of the calipers but its hard to get good lighting on them. I'm also just not..good at taking pictures.
PPS: I know it's a bit ricey looking. But I've always loved the wheel pinstripe look. I may paint it instead one day. But I also might get new wheels too so didn't want to ruin them for someone else if i sell.
