I have them on 17 race stars(bracket racer). I ran them before but not since I found out how much heavier they are than bias ply,

They weigh 46.2 lbs. with the wheels compared to bias ply which weigh 29.2 lbs.

34 lbs. of extra rotating mass is a lot.

The 17 inch bias play are Phoenix- not been very impressed as they don't seem to hold pressure.

Did you sell the Mickey Thompson Front Tires?
No , I still have them mounted on the 17x4.5 race stars .
I ran then with drag radials in the rear as I was not sure about mixing tires but the bias ply in front work fine and the car goes straight as an arrow .

I have been taking them with me as “spare “ to the track as the bias ply tire on one side seems to lose air . So far they have not lost any pressure when I air them up at the track but since I don’t daily them they will lose pressure slowly over several days .

I'm running the 26x6x17 MT's. I switched from the M&H fronts because they developed cracks on the sidewall.

I'm running the Sportsmans and I can confirm they are heavy as hell. they are barely lighter than my 20x9.5s with 275 Nittos. I doubt I'm gaining much from running them other than a little less rolling resistance. If you drive your car to the track, these are definitely good but if it's a track only setup, I would go Bias ply

The Race Stars are supposed to be about 17lbs so that would put the bias plys at only about 12lbs. The M/T are supposed to be about 25lbs but may be about 29lbs?
