Can it take the power

I have a mustang gt v8 5.0 with a automatic transmission and am setting it up with a ford racing supercharger and exhaust system from cat back, airaid and a sct lunes tune system and I was wondering what would the power be more or less on the wheel with this set up and can the transmission take the power or do I need to do something else

Be happy you have the AT if you are adding boost. It's relatively bomb-proof and should hold up well. Depending on what you want to accomplish, you may want to look at higher-stall converters but the transmission itself is solid.

I think the transmission is rated at 800 n.m so about 590 ft.lbs. If you wanna go higher, the sell better clutch packs for 6R80.

The transmission will be fine but your IRS won"t be,better upgrade your half shafts, or you will be spittin them out the rear end.That IRS set up isn"t as strong as the solid axle was.
