200lbs really doesnt make up for a 124hp/200ft/lb difference. It's just that the mustang is on better tires and has better suspension design (Contrary to what many of the C6 fanboys here think)

No. It won't be. The Shelby is the flagship, top model, ultimate Mustang. It is not going to be matched by the GT.
Not seeing the part about being misinformed. I didn't make up the links providing the track times between the SS1LE and the Gt350R. But my thoughts are how close will the PP2 car be to the SS1LE when the SS1LE is already neck and neck with the GT350R on those short tracks . And why does the ZL1 comparo come into this. The ZL1 1LE clobbers the GT350RAgain, another biased uninformed statement by a GM fan.
Consider this, the SS1LE and ZL1 ran back to back at big willow. The ZL1 ran a 126.16 and the 1LE ran a 1:28.29 ( A 2.13 second difference).
The ZL1 ran head to head at big willow against the GT350R and ran a 127.90 to the GT350Rs 128.29 (a 0.39 second difference).

The SS1LE is 2.13 seconds slower than the ZL1 and the GT350R is 0.39 seconds slower than the ZL1. The SS1LE is by no means as fast around big willow as a GT350R….lay down the crack pipe.
The PP2 should be nearly as quick as the 1LE…and still slower than the GT350R by a wide margin.
Because you posted a bullshit reference of two different tests done on different days comparing the SS1LE and GT350R....and tried to infer they run identical times at big willow (which is false). Not seeing the part about being misinformed. Exactly. Let's see if he actually does some research on this and loses his GM blinders for logic. You're completely missing the point here.
the point that he's making, is that the 1:28.29 that the SS 1LE ran was on the same day that the ZL1 ran a 1:26.16
the 1:28.29 that the GT350R ran was on the same day that that same ZL1 ran almost 2 seconds slower, with a 1:27.90
Therefore, with the GT350R and SS 1LE being run on the same day, there would be a fairly noticeable gap there, considering that on the same days, the 1LE is 2.13 seconds slower than the ZL1, while the GT350R is only .39 seconds slower. Logic would tell you that there's almost a 2 second gap between an SS 1LE and a GT350R
3.5 seconds, thank you very much. Don't undercut us, now :lol:Ford claims they ran the PP2 3 seconds faster around Grattan raceway than the PP1
Haha!:cheers:3.5 seconds, thank you very much. Don't undercut us, now :lol:
A while back a few people started saying the 1LE was just as fast as the R. Soon it will be faster than the Ford GT and a stock SS will be a 10.9 stock every pass. The Camaro keeps getting faster and faster.Exactly. Let's see if he actually does some research on this and loses his GM blinders for logic.
It's funny, GM fanboys have graduated from inferring that the 1LE "could" be as fast as a GT350 around some tracks to the 1LE "is" as fast as a GT350R around Big Willow. Where the hell do they come up with this garbage.
When you sales are failing and all hope is almost gone you still have your dreams :lol:A while back a few people started saying the 1LE was just as fast as the R. Soon it will be faster than the Ford GT and a stock SS will be a 10.9 stock every pass. The Camaro keeps getting faster and faster.
