The guy at evans halshaw said they had access to 44 cars as of 10 days ago

It does make me wonder what's going to happen 1st July the day after the 0% deal finishes

I do have a car I could px but I know they wouldn't give me anything like what it's worth , it's a mint 2006 MX5 2.0 sport 35,000miles fitted with 3k of engine mods fitted by BBR taking it up to 200bhp

They were hoping to have 350 odd cars sold by mid September (after arrivals landing early august), these are STILL those cars. They held off my18 prices etc for it, and a bunch of other issues. If you want a "killer" deal I'd keep waiting until the last few are left.

Hello and welcome. You'd do well to speak to one of the Ford guys on the forum or Facebook. They're decent and may do better for you, even if it may mean not buying local. I know EH in Glasgow doesn't have a great rep for after sales. Manders could probably give you the details...

How hard is it to sell the MX5 on its own? If you think you would get nowhere near what its worth and don't want the ease of trading it in then private sale could likely help.

Is it an issue to have 2 cars? You said you had deposit for the new one so maybe buy and then sell the MX5 and wait until you get what you want for it? Insurer should be able to sort you a deal if you tell them it just needs cover whilst being sold.

Quick look on Pistonheads shows 2006 MX-5 for sale between ÂŁ3500 and ÂŁ5250. Even if you only got low money for the MX-5 then the difference between that and you asking may be less than the money you would lose if you didn't get 0% and a discount. Have you had an offer on the MX-5? What do you want for it so what is your loss?

The 0% deal is shaving quite a chunk off the price of the car if you aren't cash buying. In my case it was something like ÂŁ5k nearly in interest to be avoided vs the last one.

Your MX-5 sounds specialised and probably worth advertising on a specialist forum where people may appreciate the mods. Dealers are going to offer you nothing for the upgrade. What they can do though is make the switch easy and quick.

It's not an issue to have 2 cars but until yesterday I had 4, a mustang would take it back to 4

I am going to advertise it privately ,standard low mileage ones are 5-6k on AutoTrader , I'd sooner keep it than let it go cheap in a px

Thanks for the welcome

I'm not worried about distance , the mx5 was in Aberdeen, maserati , Harlow, it's more unusual for me to find a car locally

Eh Trafford did seem more geared up to performance Ford's, they had 6-7 blue focus RS dotted about as well as at least 8 mustangs

People's Ford in Liverpool also have plenty of Mustangs on the forecourt. Give them a call and ask for Quentin Collins if you're interested, he's been great with my '18 order.

Decision made, deposit paid, triple yellow shadow edition , delivery 2-3 weeks

I was considering a stock car but then I thought, how many times has it been washed and doused with a hosepipe, how many stationary joyriders have been sat in it, got offered one still plastic wrapped in belgium for what I thought was a very good price so went for it

21 sleeps to go

Nice :). My first was a TY and I loved the colour apart from having it fixed after it was vandalised..

Glad you got a deal you were happy with who offered the best in the end?

Chatting to Bristol street Ford at the weekend (went to see a 18MY in the flesh - still hate the new hood) it was an Orange Fury fastback auto custom pack (no Magnaride) - but ÂŁ45 grand!!!

Anyhow - salesman said they had 10 17MYs left (Gloucester but may have been Bristol Street as a whole) and were discounting and offering 0% to shift them.
I traded-in my Race Red Ecoboost for a Ruby Red GT from Bristol Street Gloucester on 10th May - very straightforward to deal with and willing to negotiate - couldn’t fault them. Committed to the deal on the Saturday, picked up the following Thursday (with a bank holiday in between).
Allen Ford Swindon on the other hand ... :frusty:

I saw the same MY18 OF - looks good in the flesh but also smaller somehow (it was parked directly next to a MY17... must be the slightly smaller frontal area)

Mrs Tooley thinks it looks less aggressive than the 17 and that the hood now looks like an Audi A5 :eyebulge:

The front of the 18 still divides opinion! You either prefer your car to be based on an Aston Martin, 15, or Darth Vader,18 !!

Do you think there will be brand new MY17 mustangs still available in December? I’ve got my current car until then but realise that some of the current deals might disappear

Alternatively, do you think a dealer would hold one for 6 months?! Don’t fancy paying for 2 cars!
