US spec in UK using nav

Hoping someone has experience using a US spec car in Europe. From what I have read purchasing the European map sd card is all that is needed with the sync 2 system. Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

This is how it worked for me in Germany. Put in the correct sd-card and your good to go.

I wish someone had a solution for sync 3 for the same question. Granted I use AA and it works great but it would be nice for the stock nav to work.
