I'm using the ITV22 Denso plugs at 0.028. They've been excellent so far.

Silly question since I've only messed with big n/a cars, but why do we need to change the plugs already?

I didn't change mine with just a tune and they were fine. I just changed mine after some bolt on's based on someone's recommendation from their previous experiences with ecoboost engines. I went one step colder with the ngk 6510s at 0.028 and have had no issues.

Since the gap needs to be narrowed, you can lightly tap it against a book, table, etc., if you don't want to buy a tool. I have a gapping tool from Advance Auto that I use now, but it's fine to lightly tap them against a harder surface to narrow the gap. Just take it slow and easy so as not to narrow it too much.

It took me about 30 minutes but I was just kind of piddling around. It's super easy and would take about 15 minutes if you didn't waste time.
