Oh crap. That doesn't sound good. Mine didn't make any noise with the broken ring lands. Sorta sounds like a valve tapping, but your down low so I guess rod knock. Maybe spun a bearing or two?

Edit... but you know it sounds awful fast tapping at idle for rod knock. Maybe it is in the heads?

I’m thinking it’s a spun bearing. Gotta lotta options to consider. If it’s just the bearing and the crank isn’t marred/scored, maybe I can get away with just replacing the bearing, but with my luck that’s not happening

Sounds like a spun bearing. I pulled apart an LS2 and there was no damage to the crank. You might get lucky.

That's not rod knock. You would know if it was spun bearing.

Sounds like an exhaust leak at the very least.

New bearing and crank wouldn't be horrible

That's what I thought initially; with the car on the ground it sounded like an exhaust leak.

Oil pressure was fine. I'll do a leak check when I get home. Love how cramped the engine bay is

There is an exhaust leak for sure. I thought I heard something past all of that though.
