How much would new gears cost?? I'm new to "cars". Always had trucks. This mustang is faster then any truck I've ever owned in my life.I would do Livernois Tune and Intanke but because i have the Performance Pack with 3.55 gears stock.... If i had the base EcoBoost id do Tune and Gears! If your concerned about warranty wait till FORD comes out with there tune by the end of the summer.
Stop with that nonsense!!Or put it towards the loan on your car!

Tune first or gears first? slowest member of WCPRIn short.. i will greatly improve your acceleration..
The gears themselves are cheap but it's not something you will be able to do yourself in the driveway so having it installed might cut into the budget. I'd go tune firstTune first or gears first? slowest member of WCPR
You can if you know what your doing!! Hell ive even installed a transmission in my driveway on a 79 chevy pick up!! If not the gears are cheap enough that you can take it to a shop and get them installed.. but if it only came down to one mod because of budget id go tune first as well...The gears themselves are cheap but it's not something you will be able to do yourself in the driveway so having it installed might cut into the budget. Of course it's possible but it requires a pretty specialized set of tools and its not an install you want to mess up. Here's a good write up:You can if you know what your doing!! If the livernois tuner is better but worth the price difference, I'll go with thatOf course it's possible but it requires a pretty specialized set of tools and its not an install you want to mess up. Here's a good write up: http://www.mikefordmustang.com/writeups/gear-install/gears-install-mustang.php There are a lot of tuner options but if you're trying to ball on a budget I'd go with an SCT tuner since they generally all cost about $400
