Need a favor from across the pond

Hey guys,

I am in the process of installing the European style reverse lamp with the integrated rear fog lamp. I am trying to find out if the harness that goes to that lamp is different from the US version and if so, can anyone take a couple of pictures of it. Specifically how it hooks up to the back of the lamp. I would love to see how it is set up. I have tried to find that harness from Ford of Europe but I am having a challenging time.

He is talking about the light fixture in the lower part of the bumper i.e. 2 x reverse lights and 1 x fog light and NOT the rear tri bar lights just to clear up confusion.

Hi Alex,
in the meantime that one of us can take a picture, I can tell you that from the manual, these are the specs of the bulbs:

EU
LAMP___________SPECIFICATION___WATT
Rear fog lamp._______W16W________16
Reversing lamps._____W16W________16

while yours should be this:

US
FUNCTION______TRADE NAME
Backup lamp____3156 or 3157

We have different description in this chart too!

W16W should be called T15 also.

It was dark when I got home so I couldn't do it today. Tomorrow morning I'll get on it and see what's what.

Ok here it is.

Yea so the thing is like this.
The red wire is for fog, white for reverse. The 2 reverse lights are SERIES OMG FORD! Both fog and reverse share the same ground.
The last photo shows the booth and where the cables enter. It's the rubbery one next to the tail lights.
Hope it helps. Lemme know if you need more info.

You are the man. Thank you so much. I can already tell you that US wiring harness going to the backup lamp is different than the EU spec cars. I am, going to have to figure something out.

Question. Do you of any Ford dealer out there where you can order parts online? I have looked and the only that comes up is in the UK and they do not have listed the wiring harness.

Yes, I'm sure dealers can order parts, especially EU ones.

Here's my question to you: do you want the rear fog light or just the reverse lights?
Because if you want only the reverse lights, it's easy. Just split the wire in 2 and add another bulb. Simple as that. Even in European harness, the lights are in series and not parallel.
