Not trying to beat a dead horse here. But waxoyl is a hard wax product that doesnāt creep much. My auto dealer recommends it for new vehicles because prep work is intense for older vehicles. I recommend fluid film for maximum creep and easy application. Woolwax would be my second choice...
I donāt think you have to be that fastidious. Knock off what you can easily and soak those inner frame rails, welds and other tough to reach areas. The oil will saturate and creep and protect. We use it on our town dump trucks which handle salt and sand all winter with excellent results.
Use a brush to knock off the loose stuff then spray with woolwax or fluid film. I like fluid film cause it creeps everywhere really well and it also comes in black. Repeat the spray as often as needed probably once a year. Fluid film will arrest the rust where it is and prevent new rust...
The only things I do that may be different from most is starting in September I only fill the tank with 91 octane ethanol free gas. This gives me time to run all of the 93 octane 10% ethanol gasoline out of it before storage. And Iām generous with Tom Cat mouse bait chunks in my garage all...
That is the color of my F150. I really like it, depending on the light it can look black, dark blue, dark purple or all of those at once. Itās not so good at hiding dirt, almost as bad as black.
I have 47,000 on my Mustang. The transmission shifts flawlessly. Should I take a āif it aināt broke donāt fix it attitudeā? Do a drain and fill with a new filter , or a complete flush and fill? I have a dealership that I trust implicitly. I know there is a lot of experience here.
Take it to a garage or dealer you trust, put it on the lift and really look at it. Ask them to give it a once over, plug it in and see if it codes. lf its mostly the Steeda add ons that are rusty I wouldnāt worry much. If you buy it, take that stuff off and get it fluid filmed twice a year...
Makes me grateful for my dealership, G-Stone Motors in Middlebury VT. My family has done business there for 40 years. I canāt do an oil change for what they charge plus dispose of the used oil. It takes an hour and they wash the exterior and floor mats and give it a quick vacuum.
Well that was rude. Neither my friends nor I are delusional. Maybe I donāt drive as hard as you. My car sounds great. Beauty is in the ears of the beholder.
Interesting. I have the s-type with the x-pipe the system came with and I have no drone and no rasp. In fact wherever I go I get comments on how awesome my car sounds: dealership, tire shop, car shows they all love it. It is the 2.5 inch convertible set up not the 3 inch maybe that makes a...
