This is really interesting. I just had tires (square) installed, and know wheels were swapped front to back. Was wondering how to tell for sure 9 vs. 9.5 without dismount to be positive. Going to look at my valve stems now for sure. Great informative post here 👍🏻
1) Way cooler looking than garbage plastic
2) Practically twice the mounting bolts thus way less likelihood of loosening and oil seepage (BEST reason hands down)
3) Arguably either hotter or cooler dissapation wise (many arguments either way)
4) Definitely heavier, i’ll take that negligible...
Finally fired up and driven today after some good diligent work…..LOVE this car again 🥰 You can really hear the injectors now w/o the engine cover. Everything went PERFECT today without a single hiccup….thank god! Attached for your enjoyment is a crappy first run video 💪🏻
Today i uploaded my PP3 tune, installed new D3S headlamps, and shelled out almost $200 for an overnighted upper radiator hose that didn’t want to play ball after being disturbed (Boo Hiss). I hope it will be the only leak. Wouldn’t seal to the brand new Ford water tee…..just poured out of the...
Today’s challenge complete. New Alternator and regulator plug, Water pump, Rad hose tee, Tensioner, idler, belts…New FP VCT’s, GT 500 valve covers, and PP3. Got stuff done today!
Today i dumped the oil, drained down the coolant, installed a Barton Hybrid 3, steeda stainless cluch line and 35lb. spring, and got alot of underhood progress in my quest to replace the alternator, water pump, thermostat, rad hose “T” fitting, tensioners and belts, install GT 500 valve covers...
Dicked around with a third set of coil covers today, started life black; still need to clearcoat…..didn’t come out as nice as i would have liked, but they are only coil covers, so whatever 😁
All 15-17 coyotes have a standard drain plug, correct? Looking to get one of the better drain plugs but can’t quite remember what i have under there. 100% sure i remember a hex head, so i’m THINKING metal pan/plug M12x1.25. Anyone know for sure? 🫠
It plugs in to the rear of the alternator. With your airbox removed, it can be accessed from looking behind, while standing over the driver fender, assuming yours is a 5 liter 🫡
Going through the same on mine right now, although i did get the “service charging system” alert. Purchased the WPT-118 pigtail and decided to just replace the 100k mile alternator as well. Thankfully, i also have time to tinker, as not my DD. Thankfully, due to me purchasing the FP “kit” at CJ...
Today, fabbed up spacers for BMR frame brace and installed, installed BMR jacking rails, drained diff and refilled, drained trans and refilled with Motul DCTF. About a third of my overall “spring to do list” but a good start 😁
Probably not EXACTLY the fitting you need, but dorman makes some fittings, perhaps a google search 👍🏻
