i gotcha, i just replaced the battery when i did the repair. im planning on downsizing the amp to something small like a 300w rms at 4ohmz running a 600 peak 12in sub, nothing crazy. when i go to install i should be connecting the power for the amp to the battery terminal directly correct?
the set up i had before was 800rms at 1ohm and i made sure it was wired for 1 ohm, i recently found and fixed my positive wire going to the battery in the factory harness as it was super corroded about 5 inchss down inside the wire so im hoping thats what was causing the poor electrical and...
id like to replace the whole cable but the harness for a 2015 gt is discontinued, would cutting it down to where there is 0 corrosion and adding new wire up to the battery not be a good solution?
Hey everyone just doing an update incase anyone else has a similar issue in the future, i found some corrosion on the end of my positive terminal and noticed some on the battery wire itself so i cut some wire open and found alot of corrosion. my other connections further down the wire are okay...
Hi, im new to car audio systems but want to learn, i was wondering if anyone knew what size amp for a single sub can be installed on these cars and not cause any issues with stock electrical components. i have a 2015 gt premium with the 200amp alt. but last time i added a 800W rms amp and sub...
Okay I gotcha, yeah I'll have to try doing something else with the remote and seeing if that might fix it. I thought it was a battery/ alternator issue since my voltage while running sometimes goes as low as 12.1, that's with the amp and sub out of the car. With it in it went into the 11s sometimes
I did not, it happened with the old battery and the old system though. I honestly didn't know that there was a bms reset until recently, it's been a good bit since I put the new battery in, should I still go ahead and do the reset?
It's possible, I've seen other people use the back up camera as a remote wire with no issues but I can't think of anything else that would be messing with the car like it was
