Is there a maintenance procedure to grease or lubricate the convertible latch? It seems like it’s a little hard to rotate it to/from the closed position. I can’t find anything online and I imagine it needs something silicone based perhaps?

@MTMustang7 it definitely sounds like your drivers side is bad. There's no real magic in the tail light. It's just fed a few 12v inputs from the BCMB. If you're feeding it 12v and it's doing weird stuff, it can only be the tail light.

I just have a little brick power supply I bought on Amazon. It’s like a laptop charger and outputs 12v at 2 amps.

For what it's worth I paid $160 to have the BCMB reflashed in my 2015 today and it solved nothing. The left vertical bar on the passenger tail light is still bright like the brake is applied. Next up is a new tail light I guess. Battery is also brand new. $500 for a tail light assembly...
