  1. Center Speaker Grill Mod Question

I disconnected the center speaker years ago. No need for it especially after upgrading the dsp. I just disconnected the wires from the canbus and went 3 way front stage and turned off the rear fill. I highly recommend replacing the door speakers and adding sound deadening, go either 2 or 3 way...
  2. Terrifying noise from under the hood

Ya I hear you. Taking the belt off and on gets old
  3. Terrifying noise from under the hood

Solved !! ... For now.... I just want to say thanks for the tips from you guys. I now believe I have solved my mystery! And dang it, I should have caught it the first time I took off the belt! It's the smooth idler pulley that directly below the SC pulley. FYI, by the time I realized it was the...
  4. Terrifying noise from under the hood

This video is from today after I reinstalled the same belt that came off because the backup belt didn't wanna go on. This time it's much quieter. There's a little play in the idler adjuster so that may be the culprit however I'm leading that it's the dirt that was caked up in the IA pulley. It...
  5. Terrifying noise from under the hood

Ok guys update time. It sound much different with the belt off. Now the belt I'm taking off has what looks like more tread on the grooves compared to the used one that's going to replace it. A few years ago, i replaced the belt and kept for an emergency backup. Anyways I figured I'd put the old...
  6. Terrifying noise from under the hood

For what it’s worth, I had to have my gen 5 3.0L Whipple rebuilt after less than a year and under 10-15,000 miles of use due to bearing noise. I have also seen a handful of other 3.0L superchargers around here that needed to be rebuilt due to bearing noise. How did you go about rebuilding it...
  7. Terrifying noise from under the hood

Thanks for the reply. Tomorrow I will do just that. If the belt isn't the issue then I'll give Whipple a call and see if they have someone there that can take a look at my car.
  8. Terrifying noise from under the hood

This happened today on a cold start. I don't think it's a belt issue but I can only hope that's what it is. Any ideas? Whipple has about 28k miles with no issues prior. Tia
  9. Using forscan to modify bms when upgrading to AGM

Thanks Rob, indeed I was testing the voltage with a dmm , immediately after removing the clamps. I just came back from a two hour drive round trip with several hours of the vehicle parked, before returning home. I'll remind myself to check voltage later in the evening and see where it stands...
  10. Using forscan to modify bms when upgrading to AGM

Hello guys. I hope someone who has gone thru this process of switching to a AGM battery and then changing a few bms settings using forscan. So here it goes... I upgraded my battery to a odyssey 96r AGM battery. I was reading a particular thread where there was an lithium battery upgrade and...
  11. USB audio source browsing

Thanks for the reply. The playback memory isn't the issue. For me, it's when i select Browse in the upper right corner. It defaults to the top of my song library which has album folders, test tones, all music. What I would like it to do when I select browse, is for the menu to scroll itself...
  12. USB audio source browsing

I mainly use my USB flash drive as my main source of music with the occasional apple music. When using the browse feature to select the next song, I always have to start at the top of my music library. Using the skip button is not the way when you have over hundred songs to skip thru. Is there...
  13. Stangtime's simple yet satisfying stereo build.

Cringed when I read copper clad aluminum. Great write up. I've been following the Infotainment thread for a couple years of so and just want to say thanks for all the info you shared. I'm now looking into the hertz DSP slp since my dm608 bricked yesterday. Again, great work
  14. Restoring 2018 Black Leather Color - Recommended Products?

Give carpro perl with 1:5 dilution ratio before your go the dye route. As far as a cleaner as a step 1, I recommend CG Inner Clean APC.
  15. P008a before and after replacing dw400

this was indeed the fix to my problem. flp in the upper 60s, no dtc codes so far!
  16. P008a before and after replacing dw400

I'm guessing it's the canister inside the fuel pump assembly located in the fuel tank which is accessed inside the car from the back seat.
  17. P008a before and after replacing dw400

I'll try the new fpr next. How do I text the fpdm? Using a dmm? Anyways, I would have swapped the fuel pump regulator over but I couldn't figure out how to remove it without risking damage to the bucket. As for the hoses, I guess I'll try and use standard hose clamps if they even make them that...
