What you have to keep in mind is like cj17 said they are smaller dual turbos requiring much less spool time and then the platform they’re being applied to. This is not a low rpm application. These cars are comfortable running at the rpm range turbos perform the best in. Even naturally aspirated...
I wouldn’t be opposed to the Steeda piece but they are not currently in stock and there is no projected shipping date. However we are moving forward with the install and planning for k member in the near future. Maybe they’ll be back in stock by then.
The trade off for a faster spooling front mount kit is heat. The gain you would see in a reduced spool time is offset by a cooler denser charge delivered from a location thought to be a much cooler location for turbos. And while I’ve never had front mount turbos I’m on my second sleeper setup...
Wow! Night and day difference vs stock k member. I would assume the bmr would look pretty similar. Thank you for the pic. I looked everywhere for a pic and this is the first I’ve seen. Definitely going tubular. I have to work out how to mount 777 performance frame mount mach1 front splitter...
Thanks for the input guys. I’m riding about 2” off the ground with the Steeda progressive springs. The shop I’m using for install is going to cut the boost tubes to create more ground clearance. Was really hoping somebody on the forum had the bmr/sleeper setup. I think I will run it for now...
Thanks. I’d heard that. Right now they’re out of stock with no availability date. And they cost 2x as much. Was hoping the bmr would be as good. Not sure if either will allow me to run the air filters higher and forward? Had a 14 Camaro ss with an agp sleeper kit. Air filters between the frame...
I recently purchased a hellion sleeper kit and was toying with a self install on my 2020 pp1 car. Man am I glad I didn’t! The shop that is installing is a full fab facility with a lot of background in mustang builds although this is their first hellion install. What immediately became apparent...
I just ordered the Steeda pro actions. the non adjustable after talking to John. I ordered the ultralite linear and after reading the steeda spring guide thought that the pro active or pro-adjustable were matched for my spring selection. john informed me that was a typo and the non adjustable...
So my pp1 car has some Steeda ultralite linear springs on the way. Bmr cradle lock out kit being installed tomorrow. Bmr sway bars soon and eventually want Steeda pro active but for now found a really good deal on some eibach dampers until I can spring(sorry) for some better ones. Has anyone...
Thank you Paul for your advice. It’s sound advice. But have you ever heard the tale of the scorpion and the frog? Lol. And now I realized that by ignoring the series tires everybody else runs and going with 30 series I’ve just increased fender gap by 7 1/10” as my overall is now 1.46” reduced...
Hello everyone. I’m kind of new here. I’ve loved cars and hi performance forever. Grew up on Dukes of Hazard Smokey and the Bandit and yes even Speed Racer cartoons. I have a 3rd gen coyote pp1 car with an a10. I’m in the process of building it to hold 700ish through ess or hellion kit...
