Thanks! this is the info i'm looking for. Watching reviews online of the 2024 manual they said they got locked out on the 1-2 shift, but if it's simply a matter of installing a bracket i'm good with that.
First, i've never driven a mustang with a mt82. Second i don't even own a 6th gen. I'm looking at getting a 7th gen and frankly the only real reason i'd get the dark horse is for the tremec. I have a supercharged 06 gt with the 3650 and after stiff motor mounts and CHE torque limiters it never...
They fit, but i wouldn't say i like them. one of mine the cap popped off so now it's open ended. here are the new black ones vs the small diameter tuner black ones and vs stock. As you can see the tuner/splined nuts have very little contact with the wheel. Is this a problem, idk, but it doesn't...
I ended up ordering these from amazon because of the reviews and they were the diameter i wanted(about 22mm worth of tapered seat). These are for a jeep and have the same amount of taper as the wheels. Gorilla doesn't show the diameter and i didn't want ones the same size as stock even though...
I agree with you on the catastrophic failure part. my concern is these loosening themselves due to less contact. maybe i'm crazy, but if there's a certain amount of surface area for a nut then i kind of want a nut that uses all of it.
Are you saying these two lug nuts on the same wheel wil1 have the same amount of contact? That seems impossible, but my next step was to spray plastidip in the taper and see how much touches the factory lug nut.
thanks, i'm going to get the larger gorilla nuts. I don't have a 6gen, sorry for the confusion. I created a profile just to ask someone about wheels on this site.
going to try these. they are the same length and right thread pitch, plus they are 1 piece (nevermind, more than 1 bad review saying they strip out, wth?)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MTDDQB6/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=AIHVL468YWUM0&th=1 they are 23mm wide, the ones i have are only 20mm...
yours look about the same as mine maybe a hair more engagement. i have 06 small diameter spline lug nuts. 06 uses 1/2 inch, i think yours are 14mm. clearly this isn't an issue or there'd be a lot more wheels falling off, but it doesn't seem like a great design either.
You can see the contact patch of my stock lug nuts in the picture, it's huge! you can also see how much of the taper is not touched by the small diameter lug nuts, but here's a red arrow pointing to it. it's a couple of mm worth of seat not being used.
I got the correct ones for a 06. i didn't realize the 2015+ have a larger stud, so yours probably have a slightly larger seat. Very confusing all these aftermarket wheels say aftermarket lug nuts required, but in fact they aren't for anything below 2015 and the aftermarket ones don't have as...
I don't get why these don't engage fully the taper. everyone said i needed aftermarket lug nuts, but this doesn't look safe to me. These are the $20 set from AM. My factory lug nut from my 06 bullitts actually fits, what gives?
150#, really? that sounds crazy! I'm concerned with these aftermarket lug nuts from american muscle. they don't fully engage the taper on the cs5 wheels. My stock lug nuts from my 06 actually fit, wth? Can i get shelby wheel company to weigh in on this 150 ft lbs? very confused. i'm afraid to...
