You sound a tad naive.
Here's why a 4-speed would be a good option:
1. Modern 4-speeds can weigh as little as 63 lbs. This means that the gearbox going to eat up far LESS horsepower when transmitting the power from the crank to the wheels.
2. Because 4-speeds have fewer moving parts, the...
I merely think it would be an absolute blast with a 4-speed manual. I fully realize that enthusiast cars don't come with 4-speed manuals, but does that mean that they shouldn't? The Cobra Jet is equipped with a 3-speed auto (w/ a full manual valve body), the COPO Camaro is equipped with a...
The driveshaft has held up to everything I've thrown at it. If it breaks, I'll probably get a stronger, custom-made one.
The brakes are the next order of business for me. Yes, they do suck, but they haven't proven to be a big enough issue...yet.
After many trials and tribulations, I cannot seem to figure out how to get my pics from my Picasa web album to here. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just made an album within my profile here.
Here's the Mustang right when I bought it.
Here's the Mustang with the Procharger D1.
I know, but I'm curious to see who has and what they've done to their V6's.
I figured someone would ask. I'll get some up later on today after work and whatnot.
I'm also really curious to see if anyone has used Hellion Power Systems' Single Turbo System or adapted a Twin-Screw or Roots-Type...
Who out there has built up a 2011-2013 V6 Mustang? And what successes or failures have you had?
6 months ago, I bought my first Mustang. After many hours of research, I concluded that a 2011-2013 V6 model would be perfect for me. Regardless of trim and engine option, the plan was to...
Kinda like an NA GT500 mixed with a Cobra Jet. I'd love to see it as a limited edition for the true enthusiasts who drag race, go to the track, and daily drive their sports cars.
With some of my previous cars, I've changed the rear gears before doing anything else. Best performance gain for the buck as long as you don't care about gas mileage.
Depends if I buy an S550. If I do, then I have to decide to either keep it stock and keep my current Mustang or get rid of my current Mustang and build up the S550. Engine choice depends what options will be available. I really, really like the 3.7l V6, but I also see the benefits a 5.0l...
I have a few friends who are die-hard GM fans, and we recently had a discussion regarding 2013 Mustang GT's. They seem to think that an LS1 powered F-Body is a better platform than a 2013 Mustang 5.0 for a drag racing build. What do you guys think?
